If you use OneDrive, you can use the Fully Automatic Stock List with OneDrive in exactly the same way.
Put your stock Excel file in a OneDrive folder, set it to Always keep on this device (the same approach as Google Drive's mirroring), then register the share link on eGuro — and just editing and saving the Excel file on your computer will update your eGuro stock automatically.
Overall steps
- Install OneDrive and log in (usually already installed on Windows)
- Set files to Always keep on this device
- Put your stock Excel file in a OneDrive folder
- Copy the share link of the Excel file
- Register the link in eGuro Inventory
It takes about 10 minutes the first time.
What you need
- Microsoft account — either a personal account (outlook.com, hotmail.com, etc.) or a work or school account (Microsoft 365) works.
- An eGuro business member account. Only business members can upload stock.
- A stock Excel file (.xlsx) in eGuro format. If it's your first time, the easiest way is to get it via Download sample file and fill it in.
Step 1. Install OneDrive and log in
Windows (Windows 10 · 11)
- OneDrive is built into Windows. Check whether there is a cloud icon at the bottom right of the taskbar (next to the clock). If you don't see it, click ^ (Show hidden icons).
- If there is no cloud icon, search for OneDrive in the Start menu and run it. If it's still not there, download and install it from the Microsoft OneDrive download page.
- On first launch, enter your email address and log in. (For a work account, log in with your work email)
- Leave the OneDrive folder location as is and click Next. It is usually C:\Users\(your name)\OneDrive. (For work accounts: OneDrive - Company name)
- If you're asked about "PC folder backup (Desktop, Documents, Pictures)", choose as you like. It has nothing to do with eGuro, so you can click Later.
Mac
- Search for OneDrive in the App Store and install it.
- Launch it, log in with your account and choose the OneDrive folder location. (OneDrive appears in the Finder sidebar)
- When a cloud icon appears in the menu bar at the top right of the screen, you're ready.
Step 2. How it works: Files On-Demand vs Always keep on this device
OneDrive initially works in Files On-Demand mode. It is similar to Google Drive's streaming.
| Item | Files On-Demand (default after installation) | Always keep on this device ✔ Recommended for eGuro |
| Where files are | Only on the OneDrive server (cloud); your computer shows only the list. Files are downloaded when opened. | Files are stored identically on both the server and your computer. (Same as Google Drive's mirroring) |
| Status icon | Blue cloud (online-only) | White check on a green background (always available) |
| When the internet goes down | Files you have never opened cannot be opened. | You can open and edit all files as usual. They upload automatically when you reconnect. |
| Disk usage | Uses little. | Uses as much as the files you keep. |
Why do we recommend "Always keep on this device"?
- Because the stock file is always physically on your computer, you can open and edit it in Excel as usual.
- OneDrive uploads it as soon as you save, so "what you edit on your computer = what eGuro fetches".
- Your work isn't blocked even if the internet drops briefly.
Step 3. Set files to Always keep on this device
Choose one of two methods. Method A (all files) works the same way as Google Drive's mirroring; if you don't have much disk space, Method B (eGuro folder only) is enough.
Method A. Keep all files on this PC (mirroring style, recommended)

Save space by downloading files only when you open them. If you download all files now, they are always kept on this PC and can be opened even when the internet is down.

Recommended by eGuro — keeping all files on this PC makes it work like Google Drive's "mirroring"
- Click the cloud icon in the taskbar (Windows: bottom right / Mac: top right).
- Click the gear at the top right and choose Settings.
- Click Sync and back up on the left, then expand Advanced settings at the bottom.
- Under Files On-Demand, click Download all files, and click Continue when the confirmation appears.
OneDrive starts downloading all its files to your computer. If you have many files this takes time, so click the cloud icon to check progress.
Method B. Always keep only the eGuro folder
Service Guide · OneDrive
Set only the eGuro folder to [Always keep on this device]
Example screen · The actual screen may differ slightly depending on the version
File Explorer › OneDrive

Right-click the folder → [Always keep on this device]
How to read the status icons
☁Online-onlyDownloaded when opened (internet required)
✓Available on this deviceOpened once and already downloaded
✓Always available on this device← Recommended by eGuro (same as mirroring)
- Open the OneDrive folder in File Explorer (Finder on Mac).
- Create a folder named eGuro. (This is where you'll put your stock Excel file in Step 4)
- Right-click the eGuro folder and choose Always keep on this device.
- When the icon next to the folder changes to a white check on a green background, you're done. All files you put in this folder will be kept on your computer from now on.
※ Menu names may differ slightly depending on your OneDrive version. Look for "Files On-Demand" and "Always keep on this device".
Step 4. Put your stock Excel file in a OneDrive folder
- Put your stock Excel file in the OneDrive\eGuro folder. Example: OneDrive\eGuro\stock.xlsx
- When the icon next to the file becomes a green check, it has been fully uploaded to OneDrive. (If a blue arrow is spinning, it is still uploading)
Be sure to follow these
- Keep the file format as Excel (.xlsx).
- Keep your stock on the first sheet. eGuro reads only the first sheet.
- The column order is A Part number · B Date code · C Manufacturer · D Stock quantity · E Description · F Selling price · G Lead time. (See Check upload format on the Upload Stock screen)
Step 5. Copy the share link of the Excel file
Share it as "anyone with the link can view" so eGuro can fetch the file.
- In File Explorer, right-click stock.xlsx and choose Share. (The OneDrive share window opens. Selecting the file on onedrive.live.com on the web and clicking Share works the same way.)
- In the share window, click Link settings (the gear or the "People with the link…" part).
- Choose Anyone with the link.
- Set the permission to Can view. (Turn off Can edit)
- Click Apply, then click Copy link.
Depending on the account type, the copied link looks like this.
Personal account: https://1drv.ms/x/…
Work or school account: https://companyname-my.sharepoint.com/:x:/g/personal/…
- If "Anyone with the link" is not shown or cannot be selected on a work or school account, it is blocked by your company's security policy. Ask your company's IT staff, or use a personal OneDrive or Google Drive instead.
- It must be a file link, not a folder link.
- Anyone who knows the link can view this file. eGuro reads only columns A–G and does not store anything from column H onward, but do not keep internal information such as purchase prices or customers in this file.
Step 6. Register the link on eGuro
- Log in to eGuro as a business member.
- From the top menu, go to Inventory → Upload Stock.
- In ① Choose upload method, select Fully Automatic Stock List.
- Paste the link you copied in Step 5 into the Fully Automatic Stock List field. (Ctrl+V, ⌘+V on Mac)
- Choose the update interval. Every 24 hours (once a day) is the default; every 48 or 72 hours can also be selected.
- Make sure Enabled is checked and click Save.
- Click Fetch now to try fetching once right away. If the completion screen shows the number of stock rows saved, it worked.
From then on: just edit the Excel file
- Open OneDrive\eGuro\stock.xlsx on your computer in Excel.
- Edit your stock and save. (Ctrl+S, ⌘+S on Mac)
- OneDrive uploads it automatically in the background. (Check for the green check)
- At each set interval, eGuro checks the file and, if it has changed, replaces your entire stock with the new content.
If you want it reflected right away, click Fetch now on the Upload Stock screen.
About Excel "AutoSave": when you open a file stored in OneDrive in Excel, AutoSave at the top left turns on and saves even while you're editing. Since eGuro fetches once a day this is usually fine, but if you don't want half-finished edits reflected, turn AutoSave off and save manually after you finish editing.
When the link changes (you must register it again)
- When you created a new file with Save As
- When you deleted the file and created a new one
- When you stopped sharing (deleted the link) and created it again
Always open and save the same file. Renaming the file or moving folders within OneDrive is fine.
Frequently asked questions
Q. I get "Could not connect to the link" / "Could not read the file".
A. Check that sharing is set to Anyone with the link · Can view and that it is a file link, not a folder link. With a work account, external sharing may be blocked by company policy.
Q. It says "0 stock rows to save".
A. Check that column A (part number) and column D (stock quantity) are not empty and that the stock is on the first sheet. In this case your existing stock is not deleted and stays as it is.
Q. I edited the Excel file, but it isn't reflected on eGuro.
A. Please check the following.
- Check that the icon next to the file is a green check. If the cloud icon shows a red X or a paused mark, OneDrive could not upload. Click the cloud icon and follow the instructions.
- The next update interval may not have come yet. Try clicking Fetch now.
Q. What happens if I turn off my computer?
A. The last saved file remains on OneDrive, so eGuro keeps your stock based on that file.
Q. I have a very large amount of stock.
A. Each company can register up to 10,000 rows of stock. If it exceeds that, the existing stock is kept and nothing is fetched.
Q. I'd like to use Google Drive.
A. Please see the "Setting up a Fully Automatic Stock List with Google Drive" post in the Service Guide.
If you get stuck during setup, please contact the Help Center.
