Notice About the Part of the Day board

Admin · 2026.10.23

Part of the Day introduces one part number a day from the electronic components you see most often on circuit boards. When you come across an unfamiliar part number — or a short marking code printed on a chip — during repair, development or purchasing, you can see at a glance what the part is and what it looks like.

What each post includes

  • One-line summary — what the part is and where it's mainly used
  • Actual-size drawing — the part drawn to scale on a ruler with 1mm ticks (based on a 24-inch FHD monitor)
  • Enlarged drawing with pin numbers — every lead labelled (B·C·E, G·D·S, etc.)
  • Key specifications — only the values that matter: voltage, current, package and so on
  • Marking code — the characters printed on small SMD parts instead of the part number
  • Companion & similar parts — parts used together with it, or that can replace it
  • Link to the manufacturer's original datasheet

Our rules for accuracy

  • We cover only parts with an original manufacturer datasheet. We don't use distributor or personal blog material.
  • Every number in the specification table has been checked line by line against that datasheet. Anything that can't be confirmed in the original is left out.
  • Values can differ by manufacturer and package even for the same part number, so please check the linked datasheet again before using it in a design.

Parts we cover

We rotate through many kinds of parts — transistors and MOSFETs, diodes and TVS, chip resistors and MLCCs, power ICs (LDOs and switching regulators), op-amps, timers, logic and interface ICs. A part number is never posted twice.
