eGuro · Company verification marks ✓ A verification mark means 'eGuro has checked this'. Every country has its own company registration numbers and documents. For each mark, we explain what was checked and what was not. |
When you click a company name in Part Search, the company info window opens; there and on the Company page, a ✓ verification mark appears next to the company name. The Part Search table and member lists show only the country flag; the marks are shown in detail in these two places.
| WHERE Where the marks appear The company info window and the Company page |
Figure 1. Company info window (example: a Chinese company)
| 1 | Flag — the country the company chose when it signed up. Korean companies are shown without a flag. |
| 2 | ✓ Credit code checked (blue) — shows that the Chinese company's 18-character number follows the format rules. |
| 3 | ✓ Business license verified (green) — shows that an administrator has checked the business license. All marks based on a document check are green. |
Figure 2. Company page header (example: a Japanese company)
| 1 | Country tag — the flag and the country name. |
| 2 | Verification mark — the same mark as in the company info window, shown as a white tag. |

| NOT YET The "Docs not verified" tag When an overseas company has not uploaded a document yet, or the check is in progress |
Figure 3. Before and after the document check (example: a Hong Kong company)
Overseas companies carry a yellow Docs not verified tag until their document has been checked. This does not mean there is a problem; it means we have not checked yet. Even without a document, all Business member features — listing stock, replying to quotes, receiving orders and so on — work the same.
| IMPORTANT Please keep in mind Being checked is not the same as being trustworthy |
⚠ What a verification mark does not tell you · It does not mean we vouch for the company. A verification mark does not guarantee the company's creditworthiness or stock, whether parts are genuine, or their quality, delivery or the outcome of a deal (Terms of Use, Article 5-2). · It reflects the time of the check. If the company closes, or its name, address or representative changes after the check, the mark does not change on its own. · Documents were checked from photos. The administrator looked at the photo or PDF the company uploaded, and did not compare it with the original document or the records of that country's authorities. A well-made forged document may not be caught. · China's ✓ Credit code checked only looks at the number's format. This mark cannot tell you whether a company with that number actually exists, or whether the number really belongs to the company that signed up. · So do not be convinced that a company is trustworthy from the mark alone. The mark is just one of several clues to consider when you start trading with someone for the first time. |
| CHECK How to check for yourself If it is your first deal with a company, check once more |
| South Korea | On the National Tax Service's Hometax (www.hometax.go.kr) business registration status lookup, enter the business registration number to see whether the business is still active. |
| China | Scan the QR code at the bottom right of the business license, or search by company name or credit code on 国家企业信用信息公示系统 (www.gsxt.gov.cn). Check that the operating status (存续 · 注销 etc.), legal representative and business scope match the business license. |
| Hong Kong | Check that the validity period on the BR certificate has not passed. For a limited company, you can see the company name and status through the Hong Kong Companies Registry's online search. |
| Japan | On the 国税庁 法人番号公表サイト (www.houjin-bangou.nta.go.jp), enter the corporate number to see the company name and head office address. Anyone can use it for free. |
| Before trading | Start with a small quantity, and check that parts are genuine against the datasheet, date code and packaging. For overseas deals, payment, currency exchange, shipping, customs and taxes are agreed directly between the trading parties. |
| HOW TO GET How to get a mark (overseas companies) Korean companies get it automatically through the National Tax Service check at sign-up |
| STEP 1 | Company Info → Verification document The company administrator uploads the document in the 'Verification document' field under My eGuro → Company Info. JPG · PNG · PDF, up to 10MB. Please make sure the company name and registration number are clearly visible. |
| STEP 2 | Administrator check An administrator checks that the company name and registration number on the document match the sign-up information. If they do, the mark is added; if not, the document is returned with the reason. The result is also sent by email. |
| STEP 3 | Document files are deleted after 30 days Only site administrators can see the documents. 30 days after the check is completed (or 7 days for a previous document replaced by a new one), the file is deleted and only the check result is kept. |
If a document turns out to be untrue or forged, we may remove the mark and restrict use of the service. If you have come across a suspicious company or have any questions, please leave a message at Help Center → Contact & Feedback.
